Mumbai runs hundreds of events a week and they're scattered across a dozen platforms, half of which you'd never think to check. This puts them in one place, in date order, with the venue and the price visible before you click.
How it works
Two kinds of listing sit side by side, and the difference is always marked on the card.
Posted here. An organiser creates the event on this site. They get real tooling with it — registration, an approval queue, capacity with an automatic waitlist, ticket types, custom sign-up questions, email blasts to guests, and check-in at the door. Those events are ours end to end.
Listed from elsewhere. Event platforms publish structured data about their events so search engines can read it. We read the same data, keep the Mumbai ones, and link straight back to the original page. Registration stays with them — we take no cut and intercept no bookings. Every one of these is labelled with its source.
Listings are checked before they appear: events outside the city are dropped, the same event appearing on two platforms is merged into one entry, and a listing with no real start time is marked Time TBC rather than pretending it begins at midnight.
Questions
- Who runs Meetups in Mumbai?
- It's an independent project, not owned by a ticketing company or venue group. There's no commission on any listing and no paid placement — the ordering is by date, always.
- Where do the listings come from?
- Two places. Organisers post directly, which is how most community events get here. The rest are read from the public schema.org event data that platforms like AllEvents, Eventbrite, Meetup and Luma publish for search engines, then filtered to Mumbai, de-duplicated and linked back to the original.
- How do you decide what counts as a Mumbai event?
- The venue address has to place it in Mumbai or the immediate metropolitan region. Online events need an explicit local tie, because city searches surface online listings from everywhere. Anything naming another city in its title is rejected outright.
- How often is it updated?
- Every six hours. Each run re-reads the sources, fills in missing start times and descriptions, merges duplicates and drops events that have finished.
- I'm an organiser — how do I get listed?
- Create an account and post the event. It appears immediately, and you get registration, approvals, a waitlist, sign-up questions, email blasts and door check-in with it. If your event is already here via a syndicated listing, posting it directly takes over the entry.
- How do I get an event removed?
- Email the address on the event's source listing or get in touch and it comes down. Listings are always linked back to their original page; nothing here is presented as ours.

Posting is free and takes a couple of minutes. You keep the guest list and the registrations — this isn't a ticketing middleman.
